Your setup stays with you.

The checker runs in your browser. You can use it without an account.

If you choose Save in this browser, it remembers the models, software and firmware versions you’ve entered, your country, hub selections and the devices you’re comparing. It uses this browser’s local storage. Changes aren’t saved automatically.

The Smart Home Planner saves its rooms, quantities, ownership choices, chosen features and a copy of your phone and hub setup in a separate browser-local plan. Save plan also updates the checker’s saved setup. Its shopping list is built from those saved rooms. CSV downloads stay on your device; print uses your browser’s print options.

Delete saved copy in the planner removes the saved plan and keeps the current plan on screen. It leaves the checker’s saved setup alone. Delete saved setup removes the checker’s saved list and resets the checker. Other people using the same browser can see a saved setup. Private browsing or blocked storage can stop saving from working.

Comparison links only include the devices being compared. They leave out your phones, watches, software versions, country and equipment.

This version has no analytics, ads or tracking cookies. Fonts are hosted with the site. WordPress uses sign-in cookies for administrators, and the host processes normal web requests, which may include IP addresses and access logs. Links to manufacturers open their websites, where their own privacy policies apply.

We don’t connect to your device accounts or ask for digital keys, access codes, names or addresses.

If we add advertising

The site includes a public Google AdSense account-verification tag. It doesn’t load advertising scripts or analytics, and there are no active ads here.

Before ads are switched on, we’ll update this page to explain the services actually used, their cookies or similar storage, how data is used for delivery, measurement or personalisation, and the privacy choices available. Any required consent controls will be put in place before the relevant advertising runs.
